As we come together for this next session, we continue and deepen the journey we began in our first gathering. Previously, we explored how the mind can support our own healing and how practices such as meditation, compassion, and visualization can reveal the hidden potential within illness. Building on that foundation, this session invites us to go further—delving more deeply into the path of healing the whole being, inspired by Alain’s experience in overcoming terminal cancer.
Together, we will revisit and expand upon the practical tools and perspectives we introduced—moving into a richer understanding of unconditional acceptance and loving kindness. Strengthening a healthy relationship with ourselves is essential for authentic healing, and this session will offer more opportunities to cultivate these qualities.
We will also deepen our experience of the Guru Rinpoche of Healing practice, working more intimately with invocation, visualization, and mantra recitation to support our healing journey.
Through this holistic approach, we aim to address healing not only of the body, but of our entire being—body, mind, and heart. No matter the outcome for the body, this deepening journey allows us to access a profound sense of healing, and prepares us to meet life and death with greater wisdom and peace.
IMPORTANT – In case of serious illness, Tibetan teachers strongly advise everyone to primarily follow an appropriate medical treatment and benefit from a spiritual approach in addition.

Led by Alain Beauregard

Alain Beauregard is a Rigpa senior teacher as well as a practitioner of Tibetan Buddhism. Alain lives in Montreal and has been teaching healing internationally since 2011, based on his own healing story. At the age of 46, Alain was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic bladder cancer, which was inoperable and had spread to such a point that his doctors said he was incurable. In less than 3 months of receiving chemotherapy, combined with working on the emotional cause of disease and doing spiritual healing practices, his cancer went into complete remission. Alain has been cancer free to this date.
This life changing experience inspired Alain to give public talks and workshops about the powerful tools that Tibetan Buddhism offers to deepen our perspective on illness and introduce us to a holistic approach to healing that considers our entire being, not just the body.
Alain hosts lectures, weekends, and retreats in English and French on the emotional and spiritual approach to healing, based on Buddhist teachings and his own healing experience.
